Illustration is a course for teens ages 11-18 for an inspiring start in design
- An illustrator is an artist who creates an image from a written text or story. They are the ones who create themed pictures in books and magazines. Beautiful illustrations on websites are also their job
- The essence of an illustrator’s job is to create sketches and finished works for customers. Illustrators must master a massive number of different drawing techniques
- Teenagers will learn: how to create charismatic characters, work with book and magazine illustration, create visual content for websites, packages, and postcards, will start to develop own style, and will get their first work experience as an illustrator
- An incredible amount of practice, big projects on real briefs, feedback and master classes from industry masters
We are experts in teaching 13-19 year-olds. For many years we accumulated experience of teenage features to take it into account for educational programs and approaches. In dealing with parents, we take the teenager’s side
The ability to draw is a potential, the ability to draw technically is a profession. Good illustrators are in demand in various business fields, including IT, where the best illustrators acquire the profession of Game Artist
Level Beginner is for understanding the basics of the illustrator profession, and level Advanced is for obtaining professional knowledge and skills at the Junior specialist level. Information about the actual salaries of specialists is here
Creativity — the ability to make non-standard decisions in different life and work situations – is one of the main skills of the decade (The World Economic Forum (WEF))
Illustrator is a much sought-after profession. Growth is related to the market development:
— printing: magazine and book illustrations, posters, postcards
— advertising: flyers, booklets, posters, internet banners
— IT industry: visual content of web sites, development of computer games
— production: packaging for mass consumption products
Pre-acceleration (entrepreneur) module is a part of level Advanced: how to work freelance, in a company, or start own business; diving into a profession with the support of industry experts; project built-up and pitch for industry experts. Career service for level Advance graduates: internship and/or the first job.
The Course consists of two parts: Hard skills (Illustration lessons – professional skills) and Soft skills (personal skills training – over-profession skills). We teach from scratch. Preliminary test on level Beginner — to check logic and basic computer skills
